Disney is a majority owner of ESPN. This is another great way to make money because sports attracts so many viewers. They are also making more agreements such as with 21st Century Fox which is a media outlet for 22 regional sport networks. Sport is growing within media! www.espn.com/espn/story/_...

It is crazy how aggressive people can be and such little consequence. Pedro Mendes could’ve struggled a much more severe injury and if this occurred today the consequences would’ve been more than a suspension of a couple games.

I think it is the athletes decision depending on the severity of the injury (ex. Concussion). It really just depends on the situation.

Manon Rhéaume was the first woman to play in the NHL and the first woman to sign a professional hockey contract. She challenged the norm of feminism as in the past when this happened, hockey was seen as a male dominated sport. This has empowered many young female athletes.
