Since folks are talking about their 2024 GOTY, I gotta say that mine is Nine Sols. Fantastic Sekiro-inspired combat, a brutal and often profound character-driven story, and a fascinating world blending Daoism and sci-fi horror.

Very easily my favorite Metroidvania. Hope more people check it out!

Honestly didn't expect Astro Bot to win GOTY, but having beaten the game myself, it's completely well-earned. It's a glorious return to the kind of games that Playstation used to make, and it's my favorite game of 2024 (that isn't called Nine Sols).

Fully expecting Rebirth will win GOTY, but it's great to see Astro Bot and Metaphor get recognition.

I only wish that Nine Sols would get a nomination in the Indie category, because that'll be my personal GOTY at this rate.
