A concept for player character options in my TTRPG "We are the Revenants". Similar to ancestries or racial options in other games, players will chose what apocalypse strand turned them into a revenant.

Here's the concept for the TTRPG I'm writing.
We are the Revenants asks the players what moments of humanity can you make at your lowest point.

You are a revenant. You are supposed to be dead. When you became infected, your family wrote you off as dead. They cherished their last moments with you and prepared their bereavements. Yet, you didn't die. You survived the mutations, you pushed through the symptoms, and you changed. Your body carried the undead strands, and put everyone at risk. You were forced to peave the small comforts of home due to your disease. You are a walking hazard, a bio-weapon, a contagion. You put everyone around you at risk with your presence. But maybe there's a chance to change that. You are dead today, but maybe tomorrow you can be human again.
