I figured, but I had a little hope seeing indie stuff in other categories gain more traction in mainstream media these days. I guess good indie games and animation projects are a little easier to tell apart from the bad ones at a glance, though, to be fair.

Yeah I've been through the self-publishing process when I was younger, and it's a ton of work and stress for very little payback if you go in blind.
I was wondering more about public opinion toward indie literature in general, not its feasibility. Like is "indie" a turnoff to most people, still?

It was a fantasy-related event, but IRL would have been physical trauma. So, aphasia then? Is there an associated adjective?

I'm also not sure my approximate time period would allow medical terms to be used by anyone other than doctors or the like. Should I just use nonspeaking?
