Thanks pixel! I've been taking it easy but my fingers were itching to create something again, I'm just glad that the piece turned out as well as it did :p

Thanks for the kind words tine, glad to be back!

Thanks kiwi! Feeling a lot better now, the ol' noggin is still a bit slow but I'm happy to be making art again :)

Had a lil' hiatus due to some health issues so trying to ease my way back into things and did a mushroom to practice the cute lil' wavy shape most mushroom caps have :p

This looks great! I'm in love with the way you've done the wavy lines to the top right, really adds a lot of depth to the whole piece!

Looks really great, kiwi! It's been a while since I've last had tteokbokki, but one dish that I've had more recently is rabokki - that's when it's the rice cakes from tteokbokki with ramen/instant noodles - and this has reminded me that I should have some again soon :p

This looks so good! I love the colours you've gone with :)

Wow, so good! I love the palette used, and the texturing on the rice is *chef's kiss*

Great job! I particularly love the detailing you've done around the electrical cord to give it depth :)

Great job on the animation! I love how you've used the smear frames (I think that's what the term is) to show how fast her lil' front paws are moving :)

This looks so cool! This is something you would see in an isometric space-colony management game, and I am all for that vibe :p

Absolutely phenomenal! I love all the attention to detail - even in the bottom left corner, when you have to do the squiggly circles with a pen when the ink isn't coming out. Great job!

Looks fantastic so far! Can't wait to (hopefully) see the finished product on my feed sometime in the future :)

Great job on the detailing with this one! I love how much detail you've been able to show despite only using a black/white palette :)

Love it! Fantastic job on the half-open wrapper, it looks so good :)

Thanks kiwi! I feel like the world could use a lil' more whimsy, so why not start with how I present my palettes is all I can say :p
January 10, 2026 at 12:08 PM
Thanks tine, I appreciate the kind words :)

Thanks, Jojo! This was inspired by a tree in my garden, but it's a bit more grey irl (as well as the fence behind it) so I played around with the colours a bit to make it pop :)

Thank you!

It certainly beats going into the colour picker and trying to guesstimate the best colour to show the pixel being a couple of shades lighter or darker :p

Thanks :)

I’ve been trying to experiment on different ways to show the colours I’ve used in the piece, and wanted to trial out hearts this time around :p

Today I wanted to play around with using opacity for adding light and dark detailing to the canvas, and I'm proud of how it turned out :)
