I just happened to be in nyc today so I went to see if I could see the billboard but I think I missed it 🥲

how long will this be up for? I won't be back in nyc until monday

wonder if I could pick @redsolver.dev's brain on how index, backfill, and requests work under-the-hood

in all likelihood though, it's back to days of reading docs and source code 🥲

really I was only interested in exploring self-hosting since I have an idea for an atproto project that might require it, but that's a story for another day

it could've worked, but with much effort no doubt

in hindsight it would've made more sense to use a subdomain… I just don't think the effort of self-hosting was worth it for me (don't get me started on email verification)

the painless approach is fine for now, maybe I can try again in the future
