This story about antisemitism is effective in its description and word choice, making the reader want to read more. I liked the description of “tectonic battle,” which was used to describe the tension between Harvard and the U.S. president.

The reporter used adjectives and incorporated details that elevated the story. One example was the description of “rolling lawns and private clubs” juxtaposed with “buzzing sidewalks, neon lights.” The imagery aided in setting the scene of the article.

I do not see question ledes often, but I found this one to be inviting and impactful. I also liked the detail in the second paragraph and the reporter’s use of descriptive language. The reporter set the scene and drew the readers in with description and word choice.

The graphic originally drew me in, but the scene setting in the lede made me continue reading. I find this story about travel to be very powerful because it transports the reader into the story, establishing a connection between the reader and the content.

This food feature is effective because of its use of descriptions. The reporter chose adjectives with intention, and provided important details, like the ingredients, to explain the drinks. I would want try the drinks because flavors — sweet and creamy.

The lede is an effective example of “show do not tell.” The reporter uses details about the subject’s appearance at the start. He builds suspense, which helps with flow and catches the reader’s attention. The imagery and word choice sets the scene for the reader.
