Know why we don't see him anymore? Could it be that the oligarch-controlled media was confronted with the surprising (to them) fact that Luigi was instantly ADORED by the public?! He started to develop a cult following.

Notice how we no longer see him surrounded by an overabundance of intimidating police officers (while he's fully shackled, no less) and city/state/federal officials falling all over themselves in a mad infantile scramble to see who's first to inflict their brand of righteous justice upon him.
