The general complaints about 7 are largely that it departs too much from the core gameplay of the franchise and it still is a work in progress.
Definitely recommend 5 or 6 instead, 6 really grew on me after a while and 5 is always rock solid

Leaders no longer being tied to the civs themselves in 7 feels REALLY weird, still dunno how to feel about it. I'm still waiting to buy it since Firaxis has a track record of releasing a half-baked Civ game that only feels fully functional after a few expansions.

I work in a facility with cold storage and found a poor lil' harvestman nearly frozen in there a while ago. He was still reacting to touch so I scooped him up and put him in the office to warm up before putting him back outside in the grass

Every time I think we have a new home, a new place that will accept us, it becomes a massive disappointment. FurAffinity is the only place that feels at least consistent in how it feels, and even that's been swinging wildly the past few years.

I will continue to bitch and moan about this until something changes for the better. Bsky has turned on the demographics that helped it get off the ground in the first place. We made the jump, leaving behind Twitter as a primary platform, only to be forced into this mess a while later.
