They clarified they'll only be using it as optional tools for concept artists to use as inspiration.
They arent replacing any concept artists or having the AI do anything they would do in the first place.

Great, so it turned out to be completely harmless after all, like everyone could have expected anyways.
Ive seen people get mad at devs for "using AI" when the devs were only talking about AI for creature behavior.
People need to stop going nuclear immediately

Letting concept artists use AI for inspiration if they would like to is not slop and does not lead to slop in any way, shape or form.
They are offering their artists optional tools to use, nothing bad about that.
