Solo walking trip to the west Highlands this weekend. Nostalgia for myself having always gone on holiday to Fort William with my Nannan and Grandad as a young'un. 40-odd miles, hilly, beautiful, wet, but honestly the quiet and isolation I needed for a few days

20 mile walk today. Not sure I've ever walked that far in my life. Anyway, Sheffield is beautiful even on a grey day and perfect training for the Highlands in a couple of weeks.

My main argument is the symmetry it would provide to the front room by being displayed on the boom case opposite this beauty. Yes, I am enjoying my sad middle-aged man era. #lego #f1

This is exactly the sort of thing 8 year old me thought adulthood would be; buying all the lego cars I want without needing anyone's permission. Fast forward to 33 year old me doing mental gymnastics to justify to my wife that it's OK to spend over a week's food shop budget on a big kid's toy!
