AI... Nobody's mad at the machine. I think this is something NVidia, Google, Microsoft and all the tech bros don't understand.
When the Luddites destroyed mechanical looms, it wasn't because they didn't understand the machines. They could use them just fine. Hell, they LIKED the machines.

And here we have the last of my introductions for the newest iteration of my characters' story. The Blue Talon Investigations crew meets their new members and the new members get to see what kinds of jerks they're working with now.

You know, calling them MAGA, MAGATs, Redhats or other things doesn't really sell what the real problem with them is. Sure, they're racist, dumb and violently ignorant, but I don't think they really understand the pity we have for them.

Elise Stefanik, a woman who has served as little more than a rubber stamp for the GOP and didn't even have the spine to correct Donald Trump when he mispronounced her name WHEN IT WAS JUST TOLD TO HIM, is running for governor of New York.

I look forward to voting against her.

Less than a year under Republican control, and we have bread lines like out of the days of Soviet Russia. Is this what they meant by being great again?

*sigh*
And now for a loss we will truly mourn.
Robert Redford has passed.
Rest in peace, Sundance Kid.

I said something rude about a victim of violence the other day. BlueSky notified me that they took that post down and that they don't allow the promotion of violence in any way shape or form.

And that's good. I said that shit in anger, and people say terrible things in anger.

Everybody on YouTube should open their video with "FUCK!" Everybody. Every video. Hell, run down the Dirty Words you Can't Say on Radio or Television. Just open every video with that.

Why? Because YouTube is fucking their contributors, so fuck YouTube.

Ah, the bot counts are showing up, replete with randomly skimmed photos added to their profiles to make them look like lonely supermodel-level attractive women who just want to talk. Sure, I'll believe that as soon as I get that beachfront property in Nevada...

Driving home after an overnight shift, I was struck by a thought that I know is regressive, but I'm of just such an angry attitude, I don't care. When the question "What is a woman?" comes up, everybody should just respond with "Your mom." On FB and Twitter debates, double down and type "You're."

You know, I don't see a lot of real conviction in Trump support. More often than not, it's just trolls and contrarians looking for some cheap laughs, spewing empty rhetoric and insults. Meanwhile, among the intelligent people who still supported Trump, I see nothing but shock and disappointment.

The more I see posts that compare what a person on food stamps should do and how the rich need to pay their employees more, I'm left with a depressing realization.

The masses of this country think it's easier to push around the poor than it is to get the rich to pay a fair wage.

To everybody who refused to vote because Harris was "just more of the same" or because "Harris won't stop what's happening in Gaza," I hope you fall down an active escalator and then a bird shits on your face.

For anybody thinking about easing up on Musk now that he's on Trump's shit list, I remind you of Maxim 29: The enemy of my enemy is my enemy's enemy. No more. No less.

Playing City of Heroes, a friend encountered a character named "Special Ed." No backstory, but the costume was a garish mishmash of items and colors. Suddenly, I had an idea of something I would love to see in a show or movie...

Isn't it funny that the party that claims the government doesn't work is the one that's always in charge whenever it stops working?

Me facing 2025:

We thought we were smarter, but we're dumb. We thought we were kinder, but we're cruel. We thought we would learn from the mistakes of the past, but we are notorious for rewriting our history to feel more comfortable.

A rough week. Don't know if anybody will see this. If anything, this is a learning experience for the Democratic Party. They've coasted on easy victories too long and have lost touch with the American people. Maybe they can take these next two years of getting their teeth kicked in to strategize.
