Making a Bass/Guitar/Nose flute/Kazoo racket for @TheDteez - Purveyors of Punky Bluesy Messyness
£1bn of OUR money.

Farage is encouraging/campaigning for a foreign government to destroy OUR public service and an autocrat from another country to take £1bn of OUR money for his personal enrichment,

Something to which Farage would normally scream "Traitor" and "Unbritish"

Cunts of a feather...

It's essential that he BBC, the Government & the public resist this threat, this blatant interference by a foreign autocrat, by manipulative right wing forces & private media moguls

Make the edit change, re-upload and publish a mealy mouthed apology.

But we need to fight.

"Fight like hell"

Trump has bullied privately owned profit driven U.S. media companies into silence and cowering compliance - Threats of litigation and, crucially, restricting their business operation, deals & licensing using government levers.

The BBC isn't a US company & doesn't operate for profit.

Hundreds of those convicted for their part in the insurrection made statements stating they believed they were following Trump's orders in the violent storming of the Capital Building.

Trump subsequently pardoned them all.

The BBC didn't edit history. It's not a defamation. It happened.

In that public address Trump repeatedly talk of a stolen election, gave encouragement and support to 'the proud boys' and incited activism against a 'stolen election' and anti American forces.

The initial edit was a journalistic mistake, but no court in the land is going to judge that the edit had a material affect on Trump - his supporters did mount a violent, murderous, attempt at insurrection.

The edit did not materially misrepresent the speech made by Trump on the 6th of Jan.

The #BBC can diffuse this issue extremely quickly and easily by revisiting the controversial edit and simply adding a white flash between the 2 sections - a common device used to indicate a passage of time in editing.

That's it.

#Gibb commissioned a report into ‘bias’ in the BBC. The much vaunted ‘dossier’.

The remit was to only look at left-wing bias. Explicitly. Not right-wing influence - Farage’s disproportionate representation, the flawed ‘equivalence’ afforded to Brexit, climate and latterly, immigration issues.

#RobbieGibb was installed as a 5th columnist by the Telegraph’s Boris Johnson to undermine the BBC’s reputation at the behest of political forces and private, profit driven, business that have been trying to destroy the BBC and it’s public ownership model as a competitor for a very long time.

It would destroy the BBC in one hit, and it would £1bn of YOUR money. An open attack on on a UK publicly owned institution with a royal charter by nefarious forces for political and financial reasons, not for the benefit of the people that own and use the BBC.

A deeply worrying precedent.

An attack on a British, publicly owned, broadcaster for the benefit of the US president is disgraceful. Deeply unpatriotic.

Farage would use the word “traitorous”

Ironically, if this law suit were to actually happen (it won’t), say goodbye to ‘Traitors’, Strictly & MOTD & thousands of jobs.

For those unfamiliar with the industry: Almost all the camera/sound/lighting folk are freelancers, most programming is made for the BBC by independent production companies. The editing, sound, graphics/vfx etc are often serviced by external facilities.

The number of people employed is huge.

And that doesn't even get close to covering the amount of people that rely on employment by the BBC, with a huge, huge, huge number of people employed as freelancers.

Then you have to consider the other businesses that provide services to BBC production. It is an eye-watering number.

I imagine a judge in the UK would consider his reputation and the legal record and court judgements against him, and laugh the cunt out of court.

A white supremacist sex offender who talks of ripping up a country's constitution and legal system doesn't start with a reputation that can be defamed.

Demanding compensation and seeking damages - for what? His supporters actually tried to instigate an insurrection following that speech. That was real.... And in which court in which jurisdiction does he think this will happen?

£1Bn of OUR money?

Jog on you clueless twat.
