I work at Ubisoft Montréal as a Technical Design Principle ( AI/ Behavior / Crowdlife ). I love running, hiking, photography, kayaking and finding new ways to enjoy nature and technology.
I was honestly feeling like I was living in a horrible fever dream watching from Canada as Musk handed out money to buy voters. This is the definition of corrupt. Every day is a new lesson in absurd lunacy.

Very good point.

I was speechless seeing this. I feel as though we are finally living in the film Idiocracy...

I have noticed this in recent years as well. I was lucky to find a dedicated, polite and transparent sales team in Subaru des Sources up here in Montreal. So it is getting kind of bad out there, but we still have salespeople who know their inventory and love interacting with their clients.

I definitely hear you there. I am in the minority, but I really enjoy the snow and cold temps. We also have snowboarding within 35 minutes in every direction, so it is not all bad 😉 It is not hard to look at either ❄️

If I am with my partner, I will level 2 public charge the evening before to ~95% and trickle charge to 100% overnight on her wall

I cycle 55-70 % charge when in the city, using the level 2 at my condo. The night before my trip, I charge to 100%. At my condo, I set the voltage to 16 amps to slow my level 2 charge and it gets to 100% before I leave.

For extreme cold conditions:
1. I set the cruise control to 105kmHr. I drive in ECO mode.
2. No heater in the city and I use seat and steering wheel heaters.
3. Heat set to ECO 19C with the rear defroster on the highway.
4. 50KwHr charger ~ 3/4 of the trip. This is my personal conservative choice.

I never want the battery to go below ~15% in winter due to heavy snow drifting, unplowed road conditions and very heavy winds. Even in the warm months, it is common to have torrential downpours, heavy winds and violent storms. This is why I choose to fast charge along the way in the extreme cold.

I have a 220km trip each week, I will do the same before leaving. I can do it without charging in the middle, even with low temps. I choose to be safe and stop for 30-45 minutes at the 50kwHr charger around 3/4 of the distance. In Summer, Spring and Autumn I make this distance and never fast charge.
