Erin Friel has sealed a place in the final of the girls’ 400m at the European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) in Macedonia.
Erin won her heat at the Toše Proeski Arena in Skopje in impressive fashion in a time of 54.68 seconds and will now line up in Tuesday morning’s final.

Congratulations to Stephen McAuley who delivered a superb performance at the National 10 Mile Championships held in the Phoenix Park, Dublin, securing 3rd place overall with an impressive time of 51 minutes and 8 seconds.

Saturday morning's Street of Ballyshannon 5k saw Letterkenny AC athletes dominate the podium positions. Danny Mooney won in a blistering time of 14:52. Eoghain McGinley was third with an impressive 15:39, while Philip McHugh added to the club's success with a strong seventh-place finish in 16:07.
