And again... it's a positive review!
The layered stories of so many women are a great reminder that we should not judge a book by its cover (bad pun, so not intended). However mean, malicious, or stupid a person might seem, learn about their backstory before judging them (then, feel free to judge🤷).

Oh interesting how differently we rate the book.
I totally agree with the style of writing, that's amazingly authentic!

So, reading this on the bus might feel weird.

But it's important.

... how stories about crimes etc. are passed from generation to generation; how family members interpret what they hear. And how that eventually changes the story. Sometimes to the complete opposite(!).

Dealing with the past might feel heavy. But it's essential for building a better future.

Cool, I'm curious about what you think when you've finished the book, Tom.
"Normal people" was recommended a lot to me, so I think I'll get it, too.😊 Thank you!

So, I finished reading. And I'm speechless.

This book is an eye-opening must read for every person. Regardless of gender.

Caroline Criado Perez created an outstanding book.

Definitely going to buy "Do it like a woman" by her.

Yet, the style of writing is pretty interesting. And the book gibes you a lot to think about. Some aspects also only unfold after a while (at least for me).

Also, I'm now curious to read more by Sally Rooney.

So I'd say it's a 6/10 for me.

Thank you for writing it, Sally. 😊

And I guess with this it resembles the emotional state of the main character. I understand.

Yet, it makes it both shallow and oppressive.

It's not supposed to be a feeld god strory. But weirdly, it covers a lot of topics without saying much about them.

So, I'm done reading it. Here's my honest #review. #booksky 💙📚🧵 (1/?)

I'm not sure what to think about it. Despite being an emotional book, the story manages to still stay superficial. It glosses over and partially romanticises problematic topics like self-harm and growing up with troubled parents.

Since I'm alteady there, I might follow that list and read it from least to most favourite. To get more excited book by book.😄
Thank you!

Totally forgot to ask: Which one is your favourite book of hers?

Slowly made it to page 78. I really enjoy the style of writing! Plot I think is a 5/10 so far: Two girls having to crushes.

Curious to see what's to come.

Definitely a must-read. I'm sure you could question things about the book, but that doesn't mean one shouldn't read it.

Give it a go.
