I’ve rewritten this probably 20 times while trying to decide but I think that I’m landing on Outlander. It’s beautiful and a very grounded historical fantasy. It is long and the start of a long series so for something shorter, This Thing Between Us is one of my favorite horror reads.

genuinely, and I mean this with my entire heart, I need it to have like 10 seasons. I need everyone in Hollywood to guest star.

I really enjoyed A Death in Door County by Annalise Ryan (great if you also like cryptids/folklore) and Suburban Dicks by Fabian Nicieza. Both are the start of their respective series. You also can’t go wrong with The Thursday Murder Club series by Richard Osman.
