I’d go so far as to say a title can be part of personal identity. I understand her point and I agree with it. I think not using one’s chosen pronouns makes you a royal asshole.
That said, as a former teacher and a current lawyer, I am nothing if not pedantic. So as much as I enjoy her … (1/2)

In certain usage, yes they are. In this case, though, they aren’t taking the place of the noun in the sentence, so they’re not used as pronouns. Ultimately, she proves her point, though.

O it doesn’t matter, ultimately. She effective proved her point. It’s just a personal annoyance, and if there’s one thing the internet is for, it’s for sharing your personal annoyances. (And then telling people they’re stupid for being annoyed.)

A pronoun is a word that takes the place of a noun. “Hey, Mister!” Uses it as a pronoun. “Mister Smith” uses it as an honorific.

Yes, the can be. And maybe the problem is I’m relying on my memory of this clip from several hours ago instead of viewing it again. “Mister is a pronoun in “Hey, Mister!” It is not in “Mr. Chairperson.”

I understand the point, and I enjoy his reaction, but as a former teacher, I think I’m more annoyed than “Madam Chairperson.”

That’s what annoys me. It’s not compliance at all. She’s not changing pronouns but honorifics.

I saw one of those videos (without an explanation) and thought the cyber truck owner had rigged up some led display on the back. It makes much more sense that it’s projected by the “hunters.”
