probably pretty basic but I put so many hours into Halo CE as a kid on pc. Was so fun meeting people, joining mp clans, and just repeatedly replaying the campaign

it feels like a great companion piece for pc-only players who want a couch experience, and console players who’ve been wanting to enter the pc/steam ecosystem. Personally I’m more interested in the vr 👀 (dying to try Alyx)

never saw the 4th one but honestly having the story revolve around the toys competing with tablets makes so much sense, could be really good (e.g. I can see Rex getting addicted to mobile games, in spite of himself, the ipad correcting Buzz's limited space knowledge, etc.)

in addition to the ability to reduce flashing lights, photo mode (looking at you Silent Hill f!)

can't WAIT to jump into this! finally checking out Faith: The Unholy Trinity first, but am very eager to get into this right after. Trailer absolutely blew me away

as someone sensitive to strobing/flashing lights, it makes me incredibly happy when I see this option in games

buddy you came into the conversation asking for “proof,” I listed the related sources that are easily available online, and then made a broad stroke statement that I claimed “all NPCs in the game are ai” and now how “everything is ai”? This is sounding like troll bait, so respectfully ✌️

uhh I never said “all the NPCs are voiced via ai”? Not sure what point you’re trying to make, I’m certainly not ashamed about being disappointed in the encroaching use of ai in all our media, but you do you.

“of which I’ll be ashamed of”? Uh, ok. There are articles from eurogamer and polygon where the devs talked about using actors’ voices to help generate “mundane” lines/pings (+rumored full lines). They have a history of using ai in their games. It’s a slippery slope that should be put on notice, yes.

not to mention the delivery often skews on uncanny and feeling stilted

apparently they did pay vo actors to use their voices for generative ai, but the practice is still shitty and shouldn’t be normalized. Back when I would audition a bunch I was always shocked how willingly friends would agree to lend their voices to ai projects that they’d have no control over
