Team owners restored the tribute to Clemente and apologized to the family after fan backlash. I grew up watching Clemente roam right field at Forbes Field then Three Rivers Stadium until his tragic death in 1972. Radio and TV announcer Bob Prince called him “The Great Roberto.” He is a saint to us.
