My take on Frankenstein's Creature as he's described in the novel. Beautiful, but definitely not supposed to be alive and hulking around, begging humanity for a scrap of mercy. (It is so funny to me that Victor gave him long, lustrous black hair. Down bad for Peter Steele, I suppose.) #Frankenstein

I stared at my reflection. I rubbed my face, even rubbed the mirror and pressed my lips together to keep from crying.

Finally, I closed my eyes and opened them again, and I smiled very gently at the creature.

He smiled back. That was Lestat, all right.

Out of all the childhood tales, the old fables, the name came to me, like a drowned thing shooting to the surface of black water and breaking free in the light.

"Vampire!" I gave one last frantic cry.
Pictured are two characters from Anne Rice's "The Vampire Lestat", book two in her series, "The Vampire Chronicles." Lestat de Lioncourt is held above the city in midair, by his maker, Magnus, who wears a black cloak. Lestat is dressed in his undergarments and drops his red cape that is trimmed in fur from his limp hand. Lestat's neck and bare chest is covered with his own blood, and Magnus' face, though shrouded in dark, is covered in it as well. Lestat is held limp in the other's hand, his gaze listless and his head slumped to one side. His yellow hair spills over his shoulder.

The cage that Elizabeth used to catch butterflies in felt kind of similar to the batteries Victor used, I went with the idea of the Creature being trapped in the battery casing with Victor as the beholder. Not sure if it lines up but I thought it would look cool LMAO #chromaheartart #frankenstein
