Wasn’t he convicted under state law as well as federal? No pardon power for state convictions.

When / if they ever get republicans to join them and then only if Johnson would bring it to the floor for a vote. The only hope is that Dems take the house majority AND senate (60 Dem caucus seats at minimum) in 2026. Else an impeachment is hopeless. Even at that we end up with Vance.

I agree with the sentiment behind your comment, but unclear about how the states cut off the flow of money to the fed govt .The money comes from individual and corporate tax payers, right,not from state govt. So states themselves are powerless in cutting off flow of funds or am I missing something?

Same for my MAHJONG groups, in that they’re a mix of folks and beliefs. We don’t talk politics unless it happens to be a group of like minded folks playing on a particular day.

5 friends and I drove to Tennessee to play Mahjongg with our 90 year old friend who moved there in November. She misses us and we miss her. We’re going back in April.
