Crazy that we, as a family of 4, need to spend $28000 for health insurance over the next 12 months. We are healthy, thank goodness, but if we want a deductible to be lower than $7500, this is where we are. Makes zero sense. 28K on top of 2 kids in college.

Anyone out there who can figure out the signs out for Maine's Question #2 on the upcoming Nov 4 ballot? The question would allow law enforcement/family/household to petition a court to DISALLOW someone to have access to dangerous weapons. The signs say: Vote no on Ques.2, Keep Maine Safe. WTF??

I like to peek at the headlines on some of the MSM websites, just to see what they are reporting. (BBC, MSNBC, etc). Every once in a great while, there is one I'd click on and read...now, they are all wanting me to subscribe before reading even 1 article in a month.

I can't understand how anyone could possibly believe that the Dems could be to blame for gov't shutdown. Repubs control everything, and have been making up the rules as they go along (see House Repubs on vacation at the moment).

Several of the MSM sites this morning - going in depth with stories about the church shooting, but almost nothing about the restaurant shooting. People died in both...was the NC restaurant one forgotten already?
