One of the questions we heard from voters today as we went door to door is, “where do we vote?”

Go here to check your polling location and make sure to save a few minutes to vote this Tuesday, Nov. 4th! Polls are open from 7am-7pm.

As I reflect on last night’s James Island Intergovernmental Meeting, it’s clear that we talk a lot about the importance of collaboration, especially on James Island.

And, we need to elect someone who has the experience to lead that collaboration.

Our volunteers are amazing! We started knocking doors in early August and have talked to thousands of voters across James Island. The message is clear: we love where we live, but we need effective leadership that will bring results to our community.

We’re entering the home stretch! Just now tuning in? Here’s a quick recap of who I am and what I’ve done to serve our community.

We love our community on James Island, but sometimes we don’t get the results we need from City Hall. I’m running for City Council to be an effective leader for James Island - and get results for our community.

What a powerful and meaningful full circle moment speaking at Bishop Gadsden today! The Skardon family has been in Charleston for generations, and my husband’s grandfather, the Reverend Stephen Skardon, was on the board of the Bee Street Home when it decided to create Bishop Gadsden.

Years of experience have taught me that in order to deliver results, you need to work with leaders at all levels and across communities. That's why I'm so proud of the support that our campaign has earned from many key leaders we'll need to get things done for James Island.
