I loved the movie and book for different reasons — the book had a melancholy in the narrator that wasn’t quite captured in the movie. I loved the movie for the cast (peak Gen X!) and vibe.

I went to see that movie in a theater with a friend who was totally high. The look of bewilderment in his eyes was insane.

Happy Birthday to your son! My 14 yo was born 5 weeks early too. The NICU nurses were incredible.
