AND, the people @tinakotek.bsky.social is listening to and palling around with so far tell us what her priorities are – and building and strengthening social programs that help kids and families doesn’t seem to be on the list.

The tax that funds it is volatile, we knew there would be fat years/lean years. High quality early childhood ed. is extremely expensive, and rebuilding a sector that’s been struggling for decades takes $$$. If she wants to do statewide universal pre-K, I’d love to see it, but we aren’t waiting.
