If he had tried it a couple months ago, yes. But now the inclination is to wonder "What's in it for him?" You can't trust him.

I would say that the far left became louder than the center, but the center is now finding its voice anew. Just in time to take over as the far right does what you and Bari Weiss rightfully predict. Destroyed is a bit extreme. Biding their time is more accurate.

This is very strategically timed. Seven weeks puts the end of the interim funding at just before Thanksgiving. There is NO WAY Democrats could use the leverage of a shutdown then and survive. The only time is now or healthcare is a dead issue.
