Might I suggest Pathfinder 2e's system where your treasure is only as good as the settlement you're in? It not only limits what is readily avavailable, but also makes crafting a worthwhile downtime activity.

I was looking for rules to steal for magically infusing coffee in a 5e campaign. I found the alchemist class, read the rules, and decided to ditch 5e completely.

I am currently in a manic state, but have recently recieved fairly devastating news. Once the depression wins out, I anticipate a horrible crash. Luckily, my historically worst ideations have mostly gone away, but it will not be fun for a while. Thanks for listening.

Started playing 5e in 2020 as a DM, since no one else was willing. Moved to GM'ing Pathfinder 2e in 2023.

My game runs on a given Friday from 6:30pm to a logical stopping point before midnight.

"A" as often as we can, "G" as a backup.

Alkenstar is the default "gun" setting in Pathfinder. It is steampunk meets wild west, and has a super-solid lore reason for being that way, which I find is a rarity for fantasy rpgs that incorporate guns/explosives.

Because she knows I would never ask for anything, one of my regular group tricked me into sending her a link for a set of dice that I had mentioned that I had to stop myself from buying. The best part is, she stole that trick from me.
