I understand Hawaii and Alaska might face steeper challenges than the other 48 states, but if these ideas make sense for 2 states, shouldn’t they make sense for all 50?

Can we stop calling the money the federal government no longer spends as "savings" in Medicaid and SNAP?
If the money was going back to the American people, fairly, versus a cash grab for billionaires. That would could be called savings.

Also, school meals should just be free. Any barrier to access is a barrier that perpetuates stigma.
