I think we underestimated Armia. He was the one making Evans better. And we shouldn’t underestimate the forecheck Heineman was bringing. Both are missed more than we originally thought.

To be fair, playing with « inefficient josh » and « 4th line AHLer Xhekaj » doesn’t help…

Every movie with a Christmas tree at some point must be considered a Christmas movie. This rule is needed to have a reasonably decent pool of reasonably good movies to choose from.

Well, it’s true to some extent, imho. Gallagher and Veleno have played ok, but they never score, not even the odd goal, so they don’t help much. And Xhekaj and Texier have already seen their icetime shrink, meaning even the coach don’t count on them to come back.

I agree. But it’s kinda tough to progress when too much is asked of you. Dach, Newhook and Ghule would have ease it a bit for some. And Demidov shouldn’t have to be the main piece on a second line. He needs a vet C.

Bolduc is particularly horrible tonight. Plays like an AHLer.
December 3, 2025 at 1:37 AM
The effort is there, the depth is not. F. Xhekaj, Veleno, Texier, Gallagher aren’t supposed to play in a playoffs lineup. Add to that a second line with 2 rookies, and you have a recipe for disaster.

Habs lack of depth is showing recently. Bottom 6 with players bought out by other teams, a AHLer, a wash up vet… a second line with 2 rookies… you don’t make the playoffs with such lineup if it’s not Price in net. The injuries are always hurtful in the long run.

I knew it would bring such comments. Typical overestimation of prospects vs a still young and already productive C considered for Team Canada… People should read scouting reports from other sources. Hage is seen by many as a periphery player not enough involved in plays.

FX needs to be sent down and asked to play more intensely IMO. He’s quite often caught flat footed on the ice, and is still slow to react. He needs to move his feet way more, like it was asked of McCarron at the time. Since he’s overall faster than McCarron, he’ll be better once it’s learned.

I would be fine with trading the first, Fowler and Hage for Robert Thomas, tho.

We don’t see the same thing, and it’s ok. I find him slow in his actions, tentative, and his passes are soft.

The more i see him play, the more i think he could be a beast on the PK. His work in the D-zone and the space he occupies when facing the point D is one of the best on the team for wingers.

All those friendly contracts… with the cap getting higher… in 2 years, when Habs will be contenders, they will have the cap space to sign… Connor McDavid !!!! (Dream big!)

Cap wise, they will have the space needed to accommodate…Connor McDavid.

If it’s the way he speaks when he explains a game plan, i understand Canucks’ problems.

Pour ça, ça prend une vision clair du message.

Oui, sont poches. Mais à un moment donné, j’avais besoin de bobettes, et je me suis dit « achetons Québécois ». Et vous savez quoi? Leurs bobettes sont top !!!!

My thoughts are pretty boring :

Ok. Let’s see.
