Retired RCN submariner. Radical centrist. Prefer polite discourse, but will call BS when I see it. Love music and woodworking. Perennially disappointed Leafs fan.
Another numpty who thinks NATO membership involves paying dues. Nobody twisted the US government's arm to force it to spend so much on their military. That was the choice they made.

The thought of a Maple MAGA government fills me with dread. So, should the NDP vote against the budget and trigger an election costing more than a half-billion dollars, the electorate should punish them mercilessly.

I'd like to think that the NDP is criticizing the budget now in order to appease their base, but will "reluctantly" vote in favour, because they know the consequences of a Poilievre-lead CPC coming to power.

C'mon. Don't beat around the bush, tell us what you *really* think of him.😁

This appears to be the same guy. He needs some serious help.

Thanks for this. That's 24 minutes of my life that I will never get back.

So, the Governor of Tennessee thought crime was bad enough in DC to send troops there, but not bad enough in Memphis to deploy troops in his own state? Do I have this right?

Not doomed *yet*. And, should America implode, I can picture Canada being pulled into the vortex. We can only hope they come to their senses before it's too late.

Interesting read. I fear that if America descends into authoritarianism to the point of autocracy, Canada's status as an independent nation will be doomed. I can't picture our allies coming to our aid.

Didn't Jackson get away with defying the SCOTUS? That's a serious question, BTW.

I read this a couple of years ago and it was an eye opener.

Can't disagree with your assessment of that terrible trio.

I remember when Boomers were blamed for everything. Now, it's GenX. Next, will be Millennials, followed by Zoomers, and so on. So, don't worry, everyone will have their turn being part of the "worst" generation.

My party? Sorry, but I don't have a dog in this fight. Instead of projecting your rage onto people on the internet, maybe go outside and touch grass?
July 1, 2025 at 9:57 PM
Good for you, but I'm not the one who is "bitching and moaning" here. And, I'd like to see a comparison of the numbers of "uninspired liberals" vs progressives is who stayed home in November.

I'm sure Gazans appreciate the practical difference your adherence to principles makes on the ground. Dumbass, indeed.🙄

Facilitating the re-election of Trump applies pressure on the government to stop aiding in a genocide? Call me a skeptic.
