the cynical strategy here is to just blatantly lie to fox news viewers using the typical fox news boogeyman discourse to justify gutting social security. unfortunately for us, the president, is one of those viewers, and will buy this hook line and sinker.

the idea that these tech guys are opposed to "government waste" is so completely fucking ridiculous. they feast on government waste. DOD budgets are a bloated mess. the pentagon has failed 7 straight audits. the big beneficiaries are tech companies providing defense services.

this is america. we voted for trump twice. we shrug at little kids getting shot into pieces every couple of weeks or a 9/11 equivalent of deaths a day during the pandemic. so if it takes a couple of ceo deaths to lower our insurance premiums even a little bit, america will cheer that on gleefully.

no one is forcing these people to be death industry ceos. every c suite exec from every major health insurance company could retire today and spend the rest of their days volunteering at soup kitchens and they’d still have generational wealth. they choose this work because they like doing it.

we just had an election that definitively told us the american people do not care about decency, character, honor, or any other version associated with being a “good” person, but cheering the death of a guy who is the definition of banality of evil is a tad too far.
