When a Screenwriter takes a big swing on a really original high concept idea, sometimes that can be a polarizing hit or miss 🤔

As such, really thankful to ISA Network for having the courage to recognize the story in “Sliver” as a (so far) quarterfinalist ☺️

Oreo Cap’n Crunch 😎 This is a really great and yummy cereal combination 😁

As #Andor finishes up its run, I’d say lands in my top 5 series ever 🤔 Season 2 felt more like a season of GoT in tone/pace (also in my top 5 series) 🤔

Would love to see an Old Republic series made in this fashion; that era has an amazing story 🎬🎥

The only disappointment with Andor season 2 (hopefully not a spoiler 😉) is knowing that we’re not going to get 5+ more seasons of this 🤔😔

The birds all know where to get the best grub 🐦‍⬛ My back yard deck rail serves the best bird seed in town 😉🎼🎵🎶

The Red Winged Blackbirds show up in the Spring ☺️ They sure have really pretty songs 🐦‍⬛🎼🎵🎶

Just came back from a nice walk around the nature of my neighborhood ☺️ And put out some bird seed for the birds 😊

The is so much uncertainty with so much in these times and hoping for some positivity ahead 🤔 For everyone 😊

Oh my goodness, it’s so cold outside right now, I can hear the lumber in my house structure snapping and popping from the contraction 😳😬

Crazy stuff! 🥶🥶 Stay warm out there! ☺️☺️

Man, these little birds are tough 😳 I tell ya, I wouldn’t want to be outside today in this cold weather just looking for some food to eat 🤔

Good thing there is plenty there for them ☺️
February 2, 2025 at 3:57 PM
Even though lots of seed falls to the ground, the birds prefer to eat off the deck rail 🤔 Perhaps because it’s like the wood branches 🤔 Nice to see them anyway 😉

They make very distinct happy chirps (different from their regular sounds) when I put the bird seed out for them ☺️ Good stuff 😁

Another accolade for my Pilot script “Campaign” ☺️

Pleased with the response that it has been getting and excited to see where this project can go in the new year 📝🎬🎥😎

I’m very proud of what this Pilot script has achieved in 2024 and hoping for bigger things to come for this project in 2025 📝🎬🎥☺️

I love these characters and this world; very much hoping to be able to continue these stories and adventures with you all down the road 😁 #ScriptSky #FilmSky

I worked with James Garner on the Hallmark mini-series (based on the life of Mark Twain) “Roughing It” 🎬🎥

Wonderful actor and human being ☺️

In these last pages, you’ll also note the writer wrote: MORNING/CONTINUOUS/LATER/EVENING

Many like to do this; in a script breakdown they will almost always be converted just to DAY/NIGHT.

This one has the (D1/N1) so it’s still there for the departments 🎬🎥

One can also write: DAY (DAWN), etc.

Blocking:

Give your characters and director (heck even reader) something to visualize when reading the script 📝

I recently noted another writer here calling this “choreography” in writing. The “geography” in the writing gives the readers/actors a visual image of the scene 🎬🎥
November 29, 2024 at 9:37 PM
You’ll notice in this particular TV production they take this a little further and write “NIGHT (N1)”

This again doesn’t need to be in unproduced scripts, but it’s important to keep in mind so you aren’t flipping between day and night 20 times during your script…
November 29, 2024 at 9:29 PM
The reason this is done is for script breakdown, Art, Location, and other departments… Scouting, permits, etc.

Because there are several rooms in each character’s house 🤔

So we don’t just write: “INT. BEDROOM - DAY”

Because a few scenes later we may get:

INT. JENNY’S HOUSE - BEDROOM - DAY
November 29, 2024 at 9:23 PM
First, notice the set list here… This doesn’t need to be in unproduced scripts, but it’s a good idea to have this kind of stuff in mind when writing. Why?

To start off, the way Sluglines are written in the script 📝

Big location to small location, ie.

INT. BETTE’S HOUSE - BEDROOM - DAY

Currently reading an unproduced script (not going to say which), it’s looking like it’s going to have a decent story, but the writing itself is a mess 🤔

So I’m going to do a little writing thread here using the first script I pulled off my shelf, a TV episode I worked on 20 years ago 🎬🎥

It’s a winter wonderland out there today and very cold, low of -27°C (-17°F) 😳

This is one reason why Canadian Thanksgiving is a month before American Thanksgiving 😉🤣

Happy to have my most recent Pilot script “Campaign” place in the StoryPros International ☺️

I’m very proud of this script and hopeful to see where it can go, to be able to continue these stories 📝🎬🎥

Congrats to all those who entered and placed 😁 #ScriptSky

Since we’ve already had our (Canadian 🇨🇦) Thanksgiving, me and my brother put up our Christmas tree today 🎄🎁🌟

Good stuff! ☺️
November 24, 2024 at 11:00 PM
Something cool I just noticed 🤔

Not only is Campaign in the top 20 this month, it’s also the number 8 Fantasy TV script in the past month also 😉

We’ll see where this can eventually go, but I totally believe in this project and I want us all to be able to watch this series each week 📝🎬🎥☺️ #ScriptSky

This is the Pilot script I wrote during the Script Anatomy Pilotpalooza challenge earlier this year ☺️

Very hopeful for good things to come of this project; I’m so excited to share more stories with the “Campaign” team with you all 📝🎬🎥😊
