We should’ve been four or five ahead by the time they got the injury time goal. Against Spurs should’ve been out of sight before their late equaliser. I don’t fully understand this apparent “energy saving”, surely kill the game off and then conserve energy… still 3 points were the prime objective

It was a better world before streams, when all we had was being there or radio commentary of us playing shite away. Because we have been shite away almost every season since at least 1960s (bar two years under Keegan). I know this cos my dad travelled from the late 60s and me since the early 90s). 👍

I think that’s the beauty of literature/reading, our version of the story from a book, is very rarely replicated as well in the film. Shows the power of everyone’s imagination, I think.
