For anyone solo-devving a game as a hobby:

Even on days when you do not feel like opening up the project, try and do it. Even for 10-20minutes! Do a tiny small thing. All progress is good progress!

That's what I try to tell myself. Sometimes you just can't but sometimes you can! And even more!! 💪😎

I have a confession to make. For the last 3months I worked on the game like 1day a week for 1-2hours on average.

But "slow" isn't "nothing"! 💪😎👍

Chose the font and had some help from dad & bro to come up with the rest of the cards I'm adding to the demo!

Just when I think I'm near the finish-line more small stuff keep popping up... 😑

Turns out random stream is important in roguelikes! ☝️

Either you can save the games state after every random integer is made, or you can have a random stream... 🤔

So I added the random stream. 😅

Dayjob has been siphoning all my energy. Still stuck on Tutorial and Tooltips.

However seeing "Salmiakki"-description does spark joy.

Who has tasted salmiakki and out of those people who thinks it would have a healing effect? 😂⚫

Tutorial menu done! Probably the easiest menu I've done for the game.

Now I just have to screenshot and edit the images and write out the texts. Thankfully the mechanics are pretty simple so its not gonna be very many pages. 😁✌️

Options menus ain't much, but it's honest work!

Final stroke was to add the Tutorial toggle and another to skip all dialogue that doesn't influence outcome.

Speed and skipping, for the speedrunners! (goes up to 3x the normal speed!) 😉🔥🏎️

Finally unlocked the last deck of Balatro! I consider this beating the game. 😂 What an amazing game!
