Aotearoa-dwelling doom scroller of politics local and international especially China, with a light seasoning of climate and science.
And big social effects - eg stories of people not taking better jobs if they don’t have family they can stay with nearby.

Should add - I’m apparently notoriously hard to buy for! Very happy with this.

Will try to remember to post the first production - filling ideas welcome.

Agree. Also, pump out day is the high point of my fortnight so that can’t be bad week.

The international community might find it hard to understand criticism of Taiwan’s democratic processes.

Interesting. With consequences then for EV charging capacity too.

Solar panels and storage are the other capex decision at build stage which would probably appeal to a lot of people too.

Great story.

On the residential side, disappointing to see so many new builds use gas. It seems hard wired into some of the townhouse designs now, maybe because electric hot water takes up more space? The developers have no incentive to factor in running or future costs.

Also, just a fundamental misunderstanding of productivity. NZ is decidedly middling per hour worked - we need more down time for education and creative outlets and connectivity, not less.

I now just approach each episode like a stand-alone vignette. Ain’t no way I call recall the plot, characters or even general themes.

Yeah I think it’s deliberate. Or hosting meetings on social issues where they’re not the experts. Seems effective for raising profile though

Someone told me the CRI mergers came up short on finding efficiency/ consolidation savings. Echoes of the DOGE story about tech bros finding government agencies were humming smoothly, nothing to be fixed. So the only saving is to cut back on core work.

It’s such a win. And a great conversation starter for your children about the power of good regulatory practice.

Nor in Gyeongju right? It would be a turnaround to raise on the phone just a few weeks later.

What is on the agenda outside trade and fentanyl - Jimmy Lai?

Someone got a little too inspired by Pearl S. Buck’s Peony?

But we punch above our weight per capita, surely.
