I love the trope of meeting in a tavern. A new party can spend the whole session just describing their characters and interacting. I once ran a beginner session where the whole focus ended up being what was on the menu and everyone trying out funny voices. Great fun.

I like the idea of wealth being an abstract concept, rather than tracking each gp. This table made me giggle. Forget getting into the property ladder, I am saving up for my catapult.

Dice. It lists d10s, d6s and d100s. Ok, fine, we know the territory here. And then d3s! I'd never heard of these. Delightful, sometimes they look like lumpy number rocks (aren't all dice lumpy number rocks at the end of the day?). And d3 does match the 3 tier result options.

Sam and Max Hit the Road, back in the mid 90s. I have fond memories of having to phone a hotline (!) and order a hint book because I got stuck on a puzzle.

I have spent some more time with my Steam Deck recently and have finally managed to set up some good emulation options on it. My first problem was the battery, turns out my battery level was reporting incorrectly - but I followed the steps online to drain and reset it and it's working like a dream.

Just look at my cute little spreadsheet! I then cropped and blurred most of it as it is fairly spoilery with regards to some mechanics that it is fun to figure out. I also kept an events log. Type Help has honestly inspired me to look at Twine and see if I could make a game. #detective

I just finished reading Someone You Can Build a Nest in, by @wiswell.bsky.social. It's a weird-monster, asexual-romance, fantasy adventure. I found it funny, sweet and pretty gross! Great to have a book featuring an unusual, shapeshifting, protagonist. #FantasyBookSky #ItsMorphinTime
