I’m not saying Trump is a Russian asset trying to destroy America from the inside, I’m simply saying if he was, it would look exactly like this.

All I keep thinking about is how Pete Hegseth raised questions of the competency of a Black four-star general and Air Force fighter pilot who was the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Hegseth asked did he get the job “because of his skin color? Or his skill? We’ll never know, but always doubt.”

Writing is thinking.

It’s not a part of the process that can be skipped; it’s the entire point.
This is what's so baffling about so many suggestions for AI in the humanities classroom: they mistake the product for the point. Writing outlines and essays is important not because you need to make outlines and essays but because that's how you learn to think with/through complex ideas.
I'm sure many have said this before but I'm reading a student-facing document about how students might use AI in the classroom (if allowed) and one of the recs is: use AI to make an outline of your reading! But ISN'T MAKING THE OUTLINE how one actually learns?

Also let’s be real here, if your big concern with trans women using public bathrooms is that a man might CLAIM to be trans to go in and assault a woman or child, then your issue is with MEN.

So much this. Seeing so many “sober” analyses of the election focusing on “messaging” and “incumbency effects” — which is fine and good.

But the big, obvious thing that happened is stupid people made a stupid choice for stupid reasons in this big stupid country.
This tendency is everywhere that everyone should be an unpaid political consultant for the Democratic Party. It’s so twisted. It’s fine to just say things you believe in! Things you think are good and things you think are bad! That’s enough for 99.9999% of citizens
