Something like 24 when the beast and I made our first dehydration run this morning (he ran, I took pictures) at 6am. This is the pond with the ice and rock/s and an inch or so of snow. We're in a snow shadow, so I'm enjoying this. may not get any more this year.

Am posting this photo in my blog tomorrow, but i took it the other day, windshield of some guys truck. kinda blah, but then I rotated it 90deg, made it b/w (noir) and decided it was sunrise on Europa, with a sister sib in the background.

Walking by the Columbia R 4 years ago I fell in love with this tree. I named her Grandmother Witchy Tree.

yesterday we had one rock on our frozen pond. the ice must be perfect, because we now have several. wonder if they'll keep their club exclusive, or call more friends...

3 yrs ago we had cold as wel as snow. the river in background is the Columbia River. In the foreground is the slough where part of the Yakima R joins. It's shallow enough, and not much current, that it froze, with snow on the ice.

just had a funny I thought I'd share. I'm still make Christmas gifts, but actually finished one, so I took it next door to my Muslim friends at the bakery and gave it to them. I walked into the store and we all said Merry Christmas to each other. I'm not a Christian, either ;-) The pix is from me.

Good morning Bluesky family. Just finished a second small quilt. This time it has sewing, so it's a quilt. Wow, what a learning experience, but that's what drafts are for, eh? Thats not dirt on the sky, it's a dark pewter color on the fabric. Sewing fuzzed cactus edges. Spines, anyone???

This is a set of coasters I made. They are for stemmed glasses-slide the base in the triangles. The backings are from a single piece of cloth, which is why they kinda go together.
And now you know what I'll be doing the rest of the day ;-)

this is my latest. it's not really a quilt, no sewing, just a couple dots of glue. It's in an 8 x 10 frame, the opening is somewhere around 3.5" x 5.5"

I'm not sure if I quilt to use the pretty fabrics I buy, or if I buy the fabrics in order to quilt. Fabrics are expensive. And when I have a fabric store in my in-box every day... check out JordanFabrics.com I'm fabric poor;-)

I didn't sew as much as I wanted, but I got the top done of a table topper finished. Next is the sandwich and quilting and finishing.
