Bought and started up Final Fantasy Tactics - The Ivalice Chronicles and it just brough back all the nostalgia. Also chose "Tactician" mode to give myself a little more of a challenge. It's interesting to see the characters voiced, but above that, I've even noticed slight changes to the dialog.

Most of my weekend was spent shopping for plants and fixing up the balcony. Almost everything died over the harsh summer, so here's hoping that next summer is more tolerable for these balcony perennials. At least fall will feel a little cozier for a little while longer.

One of my coworkers (basketball coach) showed me his keychain of a new popular brand in Japan, and I couldn't help but chuckle at the name. I mean... non-basketball loving gay men might like it, too.

Failed... Didn't do a proper taste test first. Used too much soy sauce and not enough vinegar. Also, I couldn't find the right pork belly. Regardless, I might prefer beef over pork, in the end.

Why is it that whenever I see images of human evolution, it shows us all evolving into lighter-skinned/white people? But anything lower in the evolution process appears more black/melanated, as though we're not modern humans (or less evolved)?

Typhoon on the way, so our original schedule for 文化祭 is changing and I'll have classes in the morning tomorrow. Was so looking forward to the 3-day work week, but of course, the typhoon has to throw a wrench into the works... Oh well... Still, I only have 2 classes to teach, so I'm fine with that. 😆

Another #FFXVI epic battle concluded... My system would not have handled this had I not changed my settings. I'm certain my computer would have froze so many times, I probably would have had to play it multiple times before giving up. This time, however, zero frame drops or issues. Victory!!

I think these might be the next pair of glasses I'll be getting. If they fit my face well and they can install them with tinting lenses, it'll be a definite buy.

I heard of someone saving every $5 bill they got to reward themselves with an end-of-year vacation, so I've decided to save all of my 500 yen coins this year. Rather than use it for a vacation, I think I want to use it to purchase random wants (i.e., furniture, electronics, etc). Almost 30k already.

Although it was more expensive than I anticipated, my car definitely drives a lot smoother. Handling is also impeccable. On the inside, however, I'm trying to mentally prepare to say goodbye to most of my June bonus. 😆 🤣 😭

I went to Muji and found this step stool, but they told me that they didn't have any in stock, so they could have one ordered, and it'd take a week. Then, I checked Amazon. It was the same exact product/price, and they shipped it to my doorstep for "free" in 2 days. Businesses can't compete!!

Commander Quest is awesome. Unlike #Hades, I was able to beat this game in 18 hours. Honestly didn't think I could do it, but I made it all the way through to the "Hidden Chapter" with 4/107HP remaining. There might be more to this game that I don't know yet but I guess I'll just have to play more.
