I found this to be insufferable, pandering, and just plain ugghhh. It being so self-serious only adds to my displeasure. Might be fun to hate watch.

DIGIMON BEATBREAK ✅

That was super cool. With this being my first foray into the franchise I had zero expectations. There's room of a lot of neat stuff here. I'm excited to see what is in store

SPY×FAMILY Season 3 ✅

This series at it's best has immaculate vibes. Both halves of this episode are relaxed and fun, making great use of all the different tools in SPY×FAMILY's arsenal. And it's got Bond being Bond. Bond is great

- at any moment. Perhaps it's the at times rather rough composite which gives that impression

- established that a pivot to a more serious tonality could work. It's very loud visually, with the colors and sound heightening the fantasy element in a way that isn't overbearing, but there's an odd quality to it that makes me feel like the production might collapse in on itself -

The Fated Magical Princess ✅

The mix of mystery and comedy works without being grating, which given its sharp focus on a character this young, is impressive. Whether or not it will continue to be as charming as Athy ages will be interesting to see, though there's already enough intriguing threads -

For real, they should slow down a bit and let me finish all the stuff I didn't keep up with lol

- reality completely. If this show can get successfully get across why these two characters gravitate towards one another I'll be happy, as that is where Shikimori utterly failed. Even if it doesn't, Yoshida is a funny face generator and I like that

Yano-kun's Ordinary Days ✅

The Shikimori's Not Just a Cutie comparison is impossible to avoid, they are the exact same concept. This show seems a bit more grounded, not as in your face with it's "beautiful woman pampers me to a ridiculous degree" fantasy, though it can't escape that -

heck with how I've been taking my time with the show, every time I come back it feels nostalgic haha
