I top-eighted Messer Open at Wasaslaget. I am so happy with my fencing. This is from the pool, one of my only positive exchanges in that match, facing a much more skilful fencer (thanks for the lesson, Pontus). I won my first elimination match in a really close bout, and lost the quarterfinal. #hema

I lost about two inches of messer four weeks ago. I did order a new, but I really like my long knife from Poker Armoury. So a friend offered a rubber point, and today I managed to fit it on the somewhat broad new tip. I had to heat it first, but it looks nice now, I think.

Sparring today: I tried my small buckler. It is a little lighter than my regular one, so easier to handle for a beginner buckleneer like me. I also landed three mutieren moves with the longsword, a reaction to a fellow fencer’s comment about the technique being useless. Lichtenauer för the win!
