I like C++.

In all fairness, I haven't tried chimichuri either.

Hi.

If Syndel is stuck in an angel body, what are the chances that Gaia is stuck in a demon body? That would explain why angels are pretty selective about who sees her.

Oh! That's good to know!

The military recruits from the poor. At any point, about half of our "volunteers" are there for financial reasons. Either they want a chance at college, or the military was the only place that would give them a job.

The Military Industrial Complex is another matter entirely. Dis them all you want.

I did the calculations a while back. Around 2016 or so, 20% of one year of defense spending could build enough three star hotels to house everyone that is homeless.

I had to get meds today. But... I don't need to get anything else!

I do! My team still has a rule against putting more than 80 characters on a line in a logout.

I had a site on GeoCities back in the day. I don't remember where it is, what was on it, or my log-in.

Stuff I wish I kept...

I am an engineer. Overthinking things is what I do!

My team wrote a wrapper for windows that does all those checks for you. Good use of time!

I'm going to look after and protect my friends. The hungry leopards are lazy and will eat the easiest face to find. I want to make sure it's the people who voted for this mess.

I still have the Dragon Warrior clone I wrote back in 1994 using Turbo Pascal 7.0. Sadly, I lost the source code a long while ago.

Huh. I actually wrote a test to see if this was true. The stack is not faster than the heap. Looks like I have some older knowledge that is no longer valid.
January 16, 2025 at 1:27 AM
To be fair, if you need 2 MB of memory for one function, you're doing a lot of data operations. And if you're doing a lot of data operations, they'll be faster if they are on the stack...

...as long as you're not at risk for a stack overflow.

I always picked the spooky castle. Today I'm a software developer.

Tactical Breech Wizards and FF1 for the NES? I mean, that's not as far apart as you might think.

This will forever have a place on my bookshelf.

Ah, the peaceful fishing game where nothing goes wrong.

*someone says something from across the room*

I said, it's the peaceful fishing game where nothing goes wrong!

The game Hypnospace Outlaw is a wonderful reminder of the old internet, and what we've lost.

They're so used to democrats breaking apart and capitulating that they don't know how to handle when democrats stand together.
