I'm discussing (rather than arguing) that sometimes to focus on the personal, and yes tyrannical aspects of DJT, distracts from a strategy on how to defeat him.

By "move on," I meant develop a strategy, not as in "accept it and move on." Federal judges are holding the line against DJT's push towards authoritarianism, but we are in for a months, if not years long battle. @ 47% approval, that's a lot people against our constitutional republic.

When he states that he is the law, the response must be NO YOUR ARE NOT. Because the judicial and legislative branches of government are separate. Cry for checks and balances until we are blue in the face!!!

I don't find this uplifting at all. I find it to be just more self affirming musing from the dem echo chamber. We (the dem party) need to move on from arguments that DJT is a repugnant misogynist.

Yes, but why should she have to jump through new hoops to get HIS money?! We cannot accept the GOP rhetoric around SS. It's not a "benefit;" you have no choice but to pay in, and if it' going bankrupt, it means the government has failed to be responsible custodians of your money.

I think you understimate these representatives. The GOP may be counting on an all dem NO vote and a shutdown because with it come no sitting house. In that event, more orders to dismantle our constitution. Like it or not (not!), Chuck has to play defense when offense is required.

The problem with a NO vote is a government shutdown. The house does not sit, right? Doesn't that mean Trump is even more enabled to do whatever he wants? I think the GOP is counting on a fillabuster. I trust Chuck.
