that the goyische human be deputized to bring the cat Shabbat via Facetime or some such, because cats can very much experience prayer from afar. (I kid you not this is my life with Ben.)

I don’t have kids and wasn’t enjoying this convo, bc it very much felt like I was supposed to agree with her, and I wasn’t going to do that. So she tried to explain to me why BEN is gross. So glad I have not interacted with her since—very disturbed to know she has another cat now.

People always tried to attribute extreme masculinity to Ben too lol (pre Covid when I had people over). Ben is huge, but he is a very pretty, docile beast (like couldn’t figure out what to do with an indoor mouse—he flopped on top of it, and then retreated to watch it).

This one I like even better actually, but it’s less loud and proud, more cat-chat about Texas politics

Oh fuck. I don’t even live there anymore and I am always SO INVESTED! Like election night with my tshirt and my cat from Maryland invested, then cry a lot.

Love that character, but everyone knows he’s best known Blair’s stepdad on Gossip Girl! Not enough, indeed.

Ben wants more beef (and has serious opinions on politics from spending his kittenhood listening to me prep lectures in political philosophy, so).

What if your cat is ambidextrous? I went to my photos and this guy can be found on both sides regularly!

I love when cats look so grumpy but that’s their thrilled face. My Ben does the same thing in his beloved beds.

Happy New Year, y’all! Please Gd let 5686 be for a blessing 🍯

Might it be better if this dude has more toes? Perhaps. But I love that they created themselves (and we’re just trying to keep them healthy!)

Wohoo! Kind of already knew I was the nightmare of the credentialed but uninformed, but as I like to remind folks, the original doctor-degree was research (aka a Doctor of Philosophy) not MDs coming in and stealing our title to prop up their shameful behavior in early US medicine!

Some recent dreamy full-moon-time inspired flower art I’ve made (mocked-up as a page of stickers) as a breather from *gesticulates wildly* everything.

For all your futuristic absurdist needs!

Oh goodness—I feel lucky this was most of Ben’s sink time (ten years ago baby Ben). He did eat a lot of plastic (including several computer cords/glasses frames).

Actually I have a design for a cat mask—it would have to be a muzzle, but the only way is to go around whiskers and keep the mouth shut
July 18, 2025 at 3:30 AM
Imagine putting a mask on this!

This is the double QT I got from reposting this article. My guess is this person get betrayed by me (2 enraged QTs plus reposting oneself again in 51 minutes is not ok). But disagreeing ok what makes for decent rhetoric on Covid when the general public has mostly been tricked into “it’s nbd”

I’d be fascinated to know if they have considered some of this isn’t class, it’s religion (like a no to pork/shellfish isn’t just class). It also feels like raw seafood/beef=rich, and leaving aside sushi, I don’t do raw so… That said I also hate ketchup, so I am truly a mystery!

Some pure happiness for today’s skies: a delightful pride of tiger lilies!

I have no idea why HBO told me about this and not social media, but the French tv show “Reformed” is a delight two eps in (the French title “The Meaning of Things” is more apt). It’s so French in all its philosophical weirdness but also so Jewish in all its questioning. (Watching en français lol)

Apparently it might be down to this, which made my marching band drum major geek self feel a lot better, because when I taught hs freshman to march it wasn’t this bad (also that is NOT marching music, because no real drums, so it was doomed even if they’d been semi-enthusiastic).

Compare to any DC 4th of July (I’ve probably gone 6-7 times, though all before I got a smart phone in 2015)—this google search is about right on crowds. It can take an hour to be able to get on the metro, unlike…this. In the summer the Mall generally teems with crowds seeing monuments, also.
