I agree deforestation is the root problem but am concerned about the narrative that translocations don't work, as it is often mobilised to justify killing instead. In a fragmented world, they have a place & are successfully practiced by wildlife groups, often unrecognised by science and government.

Umso wichtiger Klimaaschutz auch als gesellschaftliches Problem zu begreifen. In meiner Dissertation habe ich v.a. die gesellschaftlichen Transformationshemmnisse untersucht. Da sind wir in Deutschland leider keinen Schritt weiter.

Angesichts des Brandes im Tennenloher Forst scheint das durchaus nicht mehr so weit weg ;)
