I *am* going to get a couple of nice dice that can live with the game next time I'm at the game shop. I repurposed a box that a book shipped in to be a game box, but I'm hoping to find something a little sturdier; Michaels was an unfortunate bust on that front.

I would back that Kickstarter/Gamefound/whatever!

Just don't take over a year to do the setup, that was silly.

In fairness, it's still taken me less time to play this than to crack open a game of Final Girl. One day I'll have time for solo board games, one day.

Multiple gaming and comic shops near me, nobody sells generic tokens. Absolutely wild. So I commandeered some bingo chips from a different project and finally, today, played my first game of Hill House.

I didn't make it out. Not even close.

But I liked it a lot. You should play it!

The half-finished stacks of cards sat in various desk drawers until a month or so ago, when I decided that was going to be my between-tasks fidgeting project until it was done, and then it got done surprsingly quickly.

And then I needed some tokens.

And if I'm going to be shuffling and playing and stuff, I really needed them to all be basically the same size, so that meant more time with the X-Acto knife and the rotary cutter and the grid-lined self-healing mat and let me tell you those self-healing properties are not exactly Wolverine-level.

But cardstock alone wasn't really going to take a beating, and I had a coupon to a big box retailer, and I've been doing more crafty things that would make it useful, so what the heck, I bought a little desktop laminator. And I laminated all the cards. But then I had to cut them out.
