It feels unsafe
Out of control
I’m saddened by the
Death and Destruction
And dismayed by
Its acceptance

The medicine of life
Or the torment of another
Laughing with me or at me

Sweet pleasures
Of happy times
Our burdens swept away
And for a moment
We find comfort
Melting our hearts
And the innocent
Child can emerge

A Child’s Nightmare
Is it playfulness or meanness
Is it #mischief or bullying
We have all been there
The brunt of the joke
And once a target
It seems always a target
