for the pain, see if you can get light gauge strings, i use .010-.047 gauge on my acoustic guitar and it feels very easy and non painful :) or, tuning down and putting a capo on can do the trick too

i was making every excuse not to join out of not wanting to go through the effort but oh my god does this make it so worth it. i feel like i can have a conversation and it means something and im not afraid of being drowned under bots

what gets me is the assumption that a leftist/liberal bringing up FDR in a positive light is talking about the camps. obviously they were terrible—it's only ever mentioned to derail a productive conversation about what dems can learn from his economic policies and messaging strategies

i think there's a noble desire for people to be careful about who they support and what positions they take, but it's frustrating to see so much infighting when the right will unify with anyone no strings attached

i was a big doubter in alternative sites but its nice to just have level-headed humans interacting with posts for once... it being a smaller site feels a bit more comfortable too
