Like the boy from earlier, mostly okay. The scarf is a lovecraftian nightmare to look at and the hat is fucked up but the rest remain consistent enough. The dog and the kid are clearly two different artstyles but whatever. The snowflake circles are actually mostly round and not blobish.

Clearly supposed to be santa but I can say that is not santa. Hat, fucked up. He's holding a bell, which i suppose is fine. I dont know enough santa lore to rule out him carrying a massive mace style bell but it's merging with the tree behind him. Trees are fucked up too.

I know they're supposed to be carolers but that is not what it looks like. Kids hands are fucked up. Perspective is fucked up as the heads seem to blend. One kid is apparently singing in her socks.

I love AI "art" due to the fact that if you just glance at something and move on, it will look fine. Or fine enough. But then you actually look at it and you see how much of a fever dream it is. The dogs left ear is presumably covered by the hat but no it's a part of the hats tail. Pads all fuckedup

The boy is probably thr best thing in this scene besides it looking g like dog shit. It doesn't fall apart nearly as much as the girl did. But all the details and background elements are just fucked. Trees apparently have a flower at the top instead of a star?

Where did her left thumb go? Look at how her right leg bends inward, her kneecap is below her knee and her right ankle must be broken. The shoelaces are an intangible mess. Also looks like shes standing in a puddle of wee.

God damn, even looking at the covers, the full color edition feels like it lacks any soul. All the art in the book are supposed to be drawings that the middle school girl is doing. That's why it features post it note style doodles and Manga like art. Maybe RRR greenlit it. I dunno. But damn.

Instead it became something soulless feeling with almost generic looking art. It feels like something id see in a kids TV show from 10+ years ago. It lost all its rizz and style and became basic slop. Inoffensive. Safe. Boring. If I knew it looked like this before hand id have said no.

My kid loves the dork diaries books by Rachel Renee Russell. The artwork in it is clearly Manga inspired and just full of personality. We got a couple for her for Christmas this year. Including one that is in color. Which I had pictured it as essentially going Manga to anime...
